A cute focus timer for Windows
Purrminal turns focus sessions into nap time for your desktop pet. Start a timer, and one of your pets curls up on your taskbar and sleeps until you're done.
How a focus session works
- Pick 25 or 50 minutes.
- Your pet walks to its spot, curls up on a little cushion and falls asleep inside a ring that fills as time passes.
- While you focus, the other pets sit still and Purrminal stays quiet: no chimes, pop-ups or celebrations.
- Step away for more than two minutes and the pet half-wakes and peeks out with a small "?".
- When the time is up, it yawns, stretches and says "Purr-fect focus!"
Why it helps
A timer you can see without opening anything. A glance at the taskbar tells you you're still in a session, and a sleeping pet is a gentle reason not to wander off. Every finished session earns coins toward your next pet, and focusing on consecutive days builds a streak.
Breaks, too
After a focus session, or after about 50 minutes of work without one, a pet stretches and asks if you'd like a break. Take 5, 10 or 15 minutes, and when it's over the pet offers the next focus. You can also turn on a gentle hourly reminder to drink some water.
Free, and on your PC
The focus timer, daily quests and streaks are all in the free version. Nothing about your sessions leaves your computer. Meet the 16 pets or read how Purrminal works.
Free for Windows 10 and 11. Every pet can be earned for free, and everything stays on your PC.
